Lmh expands its industrial portfolio
07.24.26
A new platform investment adds manufacturing capacity and deepens our exposure to durable industrial demand.
Lmh has completed a platform investment in industrial manufacturing, adding production capacity and a skilled engineering base to the group. The business supplies components into infrastructure, energy and transport end markets, all of which sit inside demand that is renewed by use rather than by fashion.
The investment fits the way we build the portfolio. It is an established operation with a long customer history, a defined asset base and a management team that intends to keep running it. We are not acquiring it to reposition it for a sale. We are acquiring it because we want to own manufacturing capacity of this quality permanently.
In the first phase we will invest in maintenance and capacity debottlenecking rather than in expansion for its own sake. The most reliable return available in an industrial business is usually the one produced by making the existing footprint run properly, and that work is unglamorous, measurable and fast to pay back.
Over the medium term the platform gives the group a foundation for further consolidation in adjacent product lines, where shared procurement, engineering and commercial reach translate directly into margin. We will pursue that at a pace the operating team can absorb.
The addition deepens the industrial weighting of the portfolio while keeping the balance across sectors that allows us to fund investment internally through the cycle.
